Ontario Lacrosse on Hold Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

LATEST UPDATE: The Ontario Lacrosse Association announced an extension on the cancellation of all lacrosse-related events until at least June 15 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The situation will continue to be closely monitored by the OLA. The Association is following in the footsteps of many other sports organizations around the world by canceling any activities for the foreseeable future.

The OLA will be posting updates as they become available and we will continue to do the same. Please keep checking back for the latest updates.

2020 Schedule Announced

As Training Camp quickly approaches, so does the 2020 regular season for the Guelph Jr. B Regals. The upcoming season’s schedule was announced on Friday.

The Regals will kick off the new campaign with a road trip to Thorold on April 16 to battle the Spartans before returning home for the home opener on Saturday afternoon, April 18, versus the Wallaceburg Red Devils.

Guelph will wrap up the 2020 regular season on the road with a visit to Welland to face the Generals on June 14.

All home games will once again be played at Victoria Road Arena. The full schedule can be viewed here.

Tickets for the 2020 season can be purchased at the front gate on home game days.

2020 Open Tryouts & Training Camp

Buckle up, lacrosse fans! The 2020 lacrosse season is just around the corner.

Within the coming months, the Guelph Regals Jr B Lacrosse Club will be in full swing as they try to build off of a season that featured 11 rookies and a narrow 1st Round playoff exit to the eventual Ontario Champions.

With a full roster returning plus the addition of some new faces and promising upcoming prospects, the 2020 Camp is bound to be the club’s most competitive in recent memory.

Any player interested in competing for a roster spot is welcome to attend. However, please note that if you are NOT a resident of Guelph, you will need permission to run from your home centre.  This includes all graduating midget players outside of Guelph or those who played on a Jr. C team last year. 

The 2020 tryout dates are below. The first two March runs are open tryouts with the following runs and tournaments being invite-only.

Sunday, March 8 – 10 am – 12 pm – Queensmount Arena (Kitchener)
Sunday, March 22 – 1 pm – 3 pm – Queensmount Arena (Kitchener)
Sunday, March 29 – 10 am – 2 pm – Queensmount Arena (Kitchener)
Saturday, April 4 – TOURNAMENT – Six Nations (Iroquois Lacrosse Arena) – Game times TBD
Wednesday, April 8 – INVITE ONLY – 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. – Victoria Road Arena (Guelph)

Saturday, April 11 – TOURNAMENT – Elora (Elora Community Centre) – Game times TBD

– The cost for the first 3 runs in March is $10/run. There is zero cost for the remainder of the tryouts.

– The 2020 roster will be finalized after the Elora tournament – however, there will be releases throughout camp.

IMPORTANT: All players MUST first register online in order to attend camp for the Guelph Regals. This is a requirement per the OLA. You are required to provide the receipt of the registration at the first date of camp that you attend. Players will not be allowed on the floor if they have failed to do so.
