Despite no season, Regals thrilled with exhibition play

Although not officially, Junior “B” lacrosse is certainly back.

Despite no official 2021 Ontario Junior “B” Lacrosse League season, many teams throughout the league still found ways to get on the floor.

Some teams started off by playing on soccer fields. Others had access to outdoor rinks. When arenas began opening up at the end of July, teams started to put exhibition games and tournaments together to salvage some type of lacrosse campaign – anything to make things feel normal again.

The Jr. B Regals were no different.

Guelph played in a total of six exhibition games in August – three “full” games and three shortened games as part of a tournament in Fergus on August 8.  They are also currently scheduled to play in a tournament on September 11 in Owen Sound.
